Mission

The mission is to improve the quality of life and provide equal opportunities for older women and men.

The goal is to increase older adults’ social, intellectual, and physical activity in the Kyiv and Kyiv region.

Women leaders with experience in implementing various projects – organizing events, business development, educational programs, charitable and cultural initiatives.

Yana Matviichuk

Founder and social auditor

Entrepreneur, Ukrainian, public figure, initiator of several social projects. Member of the Board of Generation + Charitable Foundation and Soborna Ukraina International Charitable Foundation, created for the reconstruction of Ukraine.

In 2004 she founded her first business – creative agency ARENA CS: organizer of international events. In 2021, the agency hosted more than 1,200 events for corporations and international NGOs. Before the war, the agency had 70 managers.

Since 2013, I have been actively involved in public activities: I have been the author and host of the YouTube channel “Business Arena.” The channel’s mission is to develop Ukrainians’ economic and political literacy, inspire them to start their own business, and debunk myths about the economy.

In 2016-2018, we established a project to help internally displaced persons from Crimea and Donbas to start their businesses in a new place of residence together with the Ukrainian Women’s Fund. In 2 years, We trained 800 participants in the small business school. More than 400 project participants started their businesses, and 100 participants received grants to open or expand their businesses and create jobs in 7 regions of Ukraine.

Marketing and fundraising

Educated as a research engineer in technical electrochemistry. However, I love people more than chemistry: to communicate, help them, and create better conditions to develop their potential. Since 2015 I have been working with staff in the role of HR (Human resources). I like to find the best professionals and interact with them. I will have great pleasure participating in the training and development of people.

Since 2017, I have been working for ARENA CS. In addition to HR-related functions, I also had the opportunity to lead and develop an educational project – schools of event organizers Great Event School. From 2018 to 2022, more than 120 students studied at the School. I take great pleasure in organizing and directly participating in developing event management skills.

With the start of a full-scale war against Ukraine, I immediately focused my efforts on assistance and volunteering. I helped the civilian population and Territory Defence Units in the Kyiv region.
I am proud to be Ukrainian. I am proud of my people because I saw for myself that our nation is unbreakable. I believe in our victory and am ready to make every effort for a better future for Ukrainians who suffered from the effects of the war.

Daria Muzychenko

Project management

I have organized and coordinated events at ARENA CS for over seven years. My main clients are international organizations and their projects on community development, humanitarian aid, and charity. Many of the activities until February 24, 2022, were aimed at supporting the development of the regions bordering the front line.

After starting the war, my team and I immediately set to work on what I know best – logistics. My husband and I immediately decided to focus on helping our hometown. We joined the volunteer headquarters “Solomyanski Kotyky” in Kyiv, where we help the civilian population, units of the Troops, and the Armed Forces with food, hygiene products, medicines, tactical equipment, delivery, and distribution of humanitarian aid to “hot spots.”

All that time, I am in Kyiv and do not plan to leave it. I can see with my own eyes how the city and people of different social strata are changing in the conditions of war, and I dream of a new – better, and stronger Ukraine after the establishment of peace. I am ready to work hard for this, and I want to make every effort for a better future for free and strong Ukrainians.

I believe that our country will win! Glory to Ukraine!

Olga Gastuliak

Fundraising and project development

Head of the Department for Work with International Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) at ARENA CS.

For ten years, I have been organizing events and cooperating with various non-profit organizations in Ukraine and abroad. I usually oversee over 400 projects a year.

I can find anything, anywhere, any budget. Therefore, since the beginning of the war, I have searched for and supplied food for our defenders. Under sirens and bombs, I sat at the computer with the phone to complete the delivery process. At the time, it was even more important to me than my safety.

I can agree on anything with anyone. Together with my parents, I spent ten days in a house under fire near a group of “russian asvabaditeley” near Kyiv. For about 2 hours, I negotiated the safety of my family with the orcs who broke into our house. As a result, we were released and allowed to remove 15 small children from a nearby house. I know how to negotiate. Seeing the essence of the “Russian world” with my own eyes, I realized very clearly what I would do in the next years of my life.

Olena Matviichuk

Finances and audit

Financier with 19 years of experience, Tax consultant, and Accountant. I promote financial literacy and learn how not to be afraid of laws and taxes.

Since 2004 I have been working as a CFO in the creative event agency – ARENA CS.

I also founded an accounting company – WeDoITBM to provide outsourcing services finance for more than 250 Ukrainian companies.

My main area of activity and expertise – accounting and tax accounting for individuals-entrepreneurs, legal entities, foreign missions, charitable foundations, personal tax consulting, and assistance in filling out annual declarations of property and income.

I am currently fighting on the financial and tax front. After all, the main task of a business is to work, pay salaries to people, and make a profit to rebuild the country’s economy. By paying taxes, we are helping our country defeat the aggressor.

I direct all my knowledge and skills of effective financial management to help Ukraine through our Foundation because I strive most to restore a peaceful life for my two young sons.

Olga Kovalchuk

Project management

By education, I am a specialist in protecting information with limited access, which is popularly called “ITshnitsa”. However, I am an effective Project Manager by profession.

I do not have loud regalia – just a person who is not afraid to take responsibility and solve problems effectively. I can break down complex technical tasks into pieces and translate them into the language of the project team.

During the war, I left the shelled Kyiv with my two-year-old son, a big dog, and a cat, without stopping to find and coordinate delivery. All the necessary things and equipment for the Armed Forces and Territory Defense Units. It was then that I realized that I no longer had the time and resources for unnecessary actions and people. It would be best if you acted fast and focused. Only strategically correct steps lead to the desired result.

My experience of managing the commercial department of ARENA CS since 2018 and producing one of the largest security forums in the world – Kyiv Security Forum, since 2017 speaks to the ability to work productively.

I also teach the basics of working with a project team and running projects at the Great Event School.

We develop many assistance programs, where there are a lot of volunteer opportunities throughout the year. Coordination of photo and video shooting, conducting thematic groups, professional consultations, providing household services to our wards, etc. We invite you to join our charitable work, which changes for the better not only the life of the Foundation’s wards but also your life.
